Yesterday when I cut the grass, there was but a handful of leaves on the ground. Today around four pm I went out to water the yard and there were leaves all over the place.
Autumn is fleeting.

Funny thing. Back in the latter half of the 20th century I was walking down Melrose Ave and I accidently brushed against some leaves. I noticed some soot had rubbed off on my jacket but then I noticed something more amazing: it revealed the true color of the leaves; a golden brown color.
I was amazed. I started hollering, "It's fall, it's fall" and a crowd gathered around me and stood there in amazement. In unison we all said, "it's fall".
It was an amazing feeling, Goza. It was not until I moved here that the feeling was re-captured annually this time of year.
