When The River Runs Black

The Las Conchas Fire has now become the largest in state history at almost 157,000 acres and is now 85% contained. That's the good news.

Monsoon season has started and all the burn areas are now going to lead to flash flooding, not to mention bears and mountain lions roaming populated areas looking for food!!

Ash run off from the northern fires have flowed into the Rio Grande River north of Albuquerque and have turned the Rio Grande black.
