BOB HOPE SLEPT HERE!

Tomorrow I am leaving for Arizona for a few days. I am looking forward to it.

I've written about the La Posada, the Last of the Great Railroad Hotels in Winslow Arizona on and off and now I am finally going to stay there. I called up for a room yesterday and they hooked me up with a standard room [$99]. In fact it was the Frank Sinatra room....cool huh!!

About a half hour later they called me back and said that room was actually not available so they were going to upgrade me to the Bob Hope room. The Bob Hope room and the Mary Coulter room were the first two rooms renovated. It even comes with a balcony and is normally $129. Woo-hoo!!!

The hotel rooms do not not have telephones so I probably won't be able to post anything until I get back.

My only concern is that a storm is moving in from the west and I will be driving into it. Last week Interstate 40 between Albuquerque and the Arizona state line was closed due to blizzard conditions and black ice.... yikes.

I'll keep ya posted.

I'm out.
